Humboldtschlösschen

About a year ago someone told me about the little castle in Berlin-Tegel where the Humboldt brothers grew up and where Berlin's oldest tree the Dicke_Marie stands. Since then I was desperate to go. So last week my friend Sue and I went there and were disappointed to find that the castle is private. It was also quite difficuld to be found, no sings to point the way.

But after all it is a very beautiful, quiet and picturesque place.
